Today, I’m reviewing Legendary Foods mac and cheese.
Fun fact: Legendary is actually the same group that brought you Quest Nutrition. Quest sold out to Atkins Nutritionals and then they formed Legendary Foods. Since then, they’ve been bringing a variety of innovative food products to the market.
I like some of their products (like their protein pastries) and I don’t like others (like their protein donuts).
Let’s check out the macros, especially how it compares to Goodles:
– 290 calories
– 47g of protein (passes our protein test, unlike Goodles)
– 10g fiber (this is excellent, and even more than Goodles)
– 3g saturated fat (makes this a lean source of protein)
– Protein is fully bioavailable (this is great)
Taste test:
Meh. Underwhelming at first, and it didn’t get better as I continued to chew. The texture at the end felt weird too.
I’ll never buy this product again. Big fail for Legendary Foods, but I can appreciate their effort to innovate.
