Review: @OrkaBar
These are ice cream bars made with egg whites covered in dark chocolate… sounds interesting but at least it’s not cottage cheese.
Most of the flavors are 230 calories 15g protein 6g fiber – they aren’t considered a lean protein source because they have 11g saturated fat, however, they are high in fiber which is bonkers for an ice cream bar.
They sent the variety pack which has Cookies and Cream, Raspberry, Vanilla, and Mint Chip. And wow. They taste amazing. The dark chocolate coating is insane – however, I don’t know if it’s 70% cacao or greater. This is a small business so I won’t be too harsh, but something to look out for is freezer burn. The vanilla in particular seemed like it wasn’t frozen to the same standard as the other flavors.
I had to pull my wife in to give her opinion as she’s really my litmus test for diet-friendly foods when it comes to general population. She liked the dark chocolate on the outside a lot and said she would choose this over our beloved Yasso bars or a pint of (traditional) Halo Top which is huge.
Allie’s top 3 macro-friendly ice creams vs. My top 3:

2️⃣ @ClioSnacks Greek yogurt bars | 2️⃣ Halo Top Mix-ins
3️⃣ Orka ice cream bars | 3️⃣ @Yasso Greek yogurt bars
I love that the macro-friendly ice cream market keeps expanding. As a lifelong ice cream fanatic, these are some of my favorite videos to film.
