“I had a goal of losing 7-10 pounds in the four months leading up to my wedding. I had tried various diet and exercise approaches in the past, but my husband (who was my fiancé at the time) suggested I try something new. He introduced me to Jacob, whom he had met through a mutual friend in the past, and suggested I check out his programs.
I believe the three most important factors in my fitness journey with Jacob were accountability/consistency, increasing my protein intake, and incorporating weight lifting into my workout routine. Jacob helped me view food as fuel and taught me the importance of tracking my macronutrient intake. He also emphasized the value of weight training in addition to my existing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts and runs. As an athlete, I thought I had a good understanding of what it takes to be “fit,” but working with Jacob taught me that I wasn’t eating enough protein and that a well-rounded exercise program inclusive of weight lifting was essential for achieving my goals.
One of the things I appreciate most about working with Jacob is the accountability he provides. I’ve struggled in the past maintaining progress due to my job’s demands for travel and socializing, which often includes dinners and happy hours out.”
