I spent $70 tasting 7 different kinds of pasta, so you don’t have to. This is my macro-friendly pasta review.
Macro-friendly pastas are higher in protein and fiber, but they still taste like the real thing. And none of these contain legumes!
I cooked each pasta plain with Rao’s marinara sauce, and here are the results.
MY TOP PICKS
Goodles: 180 calories, 10g protein, 7g fiber, great taste and texture
Brami: 200 calories, 12g protein, 6g fiber, new brand
MIDDLE OF THE PACK
Barilla Protein+: 190 calories, 10g protein, 5g of fiber, widely available and tasty
Carbe Diem: 110 calories, 8g protein, 24g fiber, great fiber but a little chewy
MY LEAST FAVORITES
Pastabilities: 100 calories, 8g protein, 27g fiber, gummy texture
Pete’s: 110 calories, 17g protein, 27g fiber, high protein but the sauce slides right off
Care Free Kitchen: 120 calories, 20g protein, 26g fiber, highest protein and fiber but disappointing texture
Macro-friendly pasta lets you satisfy cravings without sacrificing your goals.
