The number one diet killer is snacking before bed. I, along with most people, struggle with it. I can absolutely crush my diet all day long, but it really comes down to “Am I going to open the cupboards up and snack before bed?”
To make this process easier, I’ve always had some sort of sweet treat to reward myself before I stop snacking for the day. Recently, my go-to has been a high fiber, high fat peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I take one slice of 647 Bread, one level tablespoon of peanut butter, and half a tablespoon of raspberry preserves. Each slice of bread is 160 calories, 5g of protein, 8g of fiber, and 4g of monounsaturated fats.
Both fat and fiber slow down digestion and radically increase satiety. Having a few slices of this peanut butter and jelly sandwich before bed helps me stay full. It’s been a big part of me losing these last 15 pounds of fat.
TELL ME: What do you do to avoid snacking before bed? Let me know in the comments.
