Whether you’re a novice or an advanced lifter, you’re going to want to use straps.
As a beginning lifter, your forearm and grip strength is going to limit you from a lot of exercises such as RDLs or rowing patterns. And even if you’re advanced, you’re still going to limit yourself by not using straps.
Andy Bolton set the world record in deadlift with a 1,000 pound deadlift, and he was able to do it for a year with straps before he could do it without them.
When I go to train without straps, eventually my forearms give out.
If you’re training to build muscle, your grip will be a limiting factor. So use straps to overcome this limitation and achieve the results you want.
