My Opinion on Alcohol

Alcohol 🥃 It’s not good for you but it’s not going away. A margarita has as many calories as three shots of tequila, it doesn’t add up.

Choose wine or liquor, no mixer, or at the very least a calorie free mixer. Beer differ tremendously from brand to brand in how many calories they have, it’s a lot of guesswork unless you have a staple choice. We want to keep the calories as low as possible.

Don’t worry if the wine is red or white or what type of liquor. Yes, tequila is the best, but they all have the same amount of calories.

I’m happy to see @catalinacrunch on the shelves at Wegman’s. This product deserves to be in stores nationwide. Not gonna lie, it’s pricey, but I haven’t seen a macro-friendly cereal that isn’t. The taste is on point, it’s got plenty of protein, and a TON of fiber. Just be mindful of portion size when you’re preparing this breakfast- it is caloric, so make sure you’re measuring this bad boy out.

Psyllium Husk

Psyllium husk is a seed that is very low in calories and very high in fiber. Because of this it has remarkable health benefits and can be very useful while dieting. I recommend starting off with 1-2 tablespoons in the morning and afternoon. It can cause you to become gassy, so build up a tolerance to it. But it’s so effective at helping people feel full that it will prevent you from binging in the evening.

I wouldn’t be concerned with the exact brand, as there’s nothing special about any particular brand. Psyllium husk is simply a seed that is readily available. It may cause you to feel bloated, and that’s ok. Having that bloated feeling may be reminiscent of overeating, however this in fact will prevent you from doing just that. You’ll feel stuffed the evening before and therefore eat less, then the next morning you’ll alleviate the bloat 💩

Psyllium husk is absolutely one of my favorite supplements on the market. It’s a food-based supplement that will help you improve your health and perhaps your adherence to dieting.

Technical Failure

I talk all the time on this channel about how it’s necessary to train near to failure in order to get results in your training. But there’s an important distinction to make between complete failure and technical failure. Here I demonstrate examples with both a tricep extension and a squat.

➡️ Technical failure is achieved with a tricep extension when I am no longer able to complete the full range of motion. This means that I can no longer completely straighten my arms with my shoulder blades squeezed together at the bottom of the motion. I resist the urge to compensate by using my body’s own weight to help me complete the range of motion, instead I push myself through each and every single rep until I know that I can’t complete another.

➡️ In the example of the squat, it’s much clearer what complete failure looks like. Because if you’re squatting with a barbell on your back and you can’t get up, there’s an element of danger. Most people would never train this way while squatting due to the risk. In case they squat near to failure, where they know if they were to do a couple more reps they would not be able to get back up. It’s very important to maintain technique even when training near to failure.

If you have to take the time to un-shell these suckers and eat them one by one, chances are you’re going to be really satiated by the time you get through one serving. Dietary fat helps slow digestion, and PUFAs and MUFAs help fight bad cholesterol.

Can cheese have low calories and high protein ❓
Yes, in the year 2023 it can 🧀

Look for low fat or skim milk cheese products. I’ve seen it in cheddar, parmesan, mozzarella, and I think the offerings are going to continue to expand as America is becoming increasingly more health-conscious.

I have noticed some of these low fat cheeses taste a little plastic or fake. I happen to really enjoy this Kraft mozzarella in a quesadilla with a @missionfoodsus carb wrap, I like to mix it in an omelet as well.

Sweet potato fries are chock full of fiber and loaded with antioxidants. But the reality is that most potatoes have health benefits as well. When it comes to fries, whether traditional French fries or sweet potato fries, it all comes down to how they are cooked.

A deep fried potato, sweet or not, is still going to be loaded with calories. A better alternative is to take these sweet potato fries and toss them in the oven or air fryer.

Tuna obliterates 💥 our protein test of 10g protein per 100 calories. This sucker has 19g protein per 80 calories. I personally would opt for the bag over the can.

And no, you’re not gonna die from eating tuna occasionally. What you should be wary of is what condiment you use with it. Adding things like mayonnaise can increase the calories dramatically. There’s no need to drown this fishy 🐟

Six months ago I put out a video saying the Liver King was a marketing agency, not a human being, and that this whole thing was orchestrated to sell supplements and beef liver enzymes. Today I’m not here to tell you I told you so but to remind you that Paul Saladino is the Liver King’s business partner. He is an intricate part in this marketing ploy. And seed oils are inherently not bad. You should work to reduce processed foods in your diet but nobody is dying from putting grapeseed oil on a salad or sesame oil on a tuna steak.
