My cookie dealer protein cookie review
My Cookie Dealer protein cookies. These cookies have extremely high calories and terrible macros. 14g of protein but upwards of 600 calories… yikes. Personally, I’d rather get a cookie from Levain Bakery and then have a Fairlife shake on the side. The taste? Not worth it. I would rather eat a fantastic cookie and add a protein shake to wash it down. For me, not worth the calories.

Leg press demonstration
Leg press. This is a machine I utilize in my programming and often see people misusing. As you can see, this is a typical diagonal leg press machine. Nothing fancy. More often than not, the sled will probably weigh more than you do. Because of this, the sled will cause you to lift up. We want to prevent that and remain anchored in so we can lift safely.
Next time you’re using the leg press, try using a pad to encourage full range of motion. Lie back, point your toes out so that your knees can travel past your torso, make sure the safety pin has proper range of motion, lift sled up, and hold onto the handles at the bottom. Experience full rang of motion while working quads and inner thighs.

Plant-based vs. animal-based protein
Is plant-based protein healthier than animal-based protein? It depends. The beyond beef does not pass the test (at least 10g of protein for every 100 calories).
The 5g of fat in this product come from coconut oil which is a saturated fat known to raise bad cholesterol. On the other hand, the animal-based protein passes the test, has fewer calories, and has less saturated fat which is ultimately the determining factor. When buying plant-based protein be mindful of the saturated fat content.

Remember the test. We want to see items being touted as protein-rich to have AT LEAST 10g of protein for every 100 calories.
Considering this, these are actually a high fat item.

This fajita chicken kit from @costco is ready in 10 minutes. It’s been a long day, and between the people you love and work you are just f***ing done with it. This has 200 calories, 26g of protein (it passes the test), and it also has 4g of fiber. Don’t come at me about the f***ing sodium, it’s only 500mg for basically an entire meal. Even if you’re my size you would only need to eat 1.5x a serving.
It’s protein, vegetables, easy to prep, and a meal you can feel proud to have cooked for your family.
