Today, we’re looking at Royo chocolate and cinnamon rolls. Spoiler alert, they’re mediocre.
My wife describes me as the most in-shape foodie she’s ever met. I love restaurants and going out to eat, and I also love bakeries. I was recently at L’Appartement 4F in Brooklyn, NY and I had some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had in my life.
Royo’s chocolate and cinnamon rolls have:
– 120 calories
– 10g of protein (passes the protein test)
– 15g of fiber (lots of fiber, which is great)
So they’re clearly not going to taste like the ones at L’Appartement 4F. However, they don’t even taste like the ones from Cinnabon. They’re not even half as good.
When I buy a food to help me hit my macros, I want it to fulfill my craving for that food. For example, I eat Yasso frozen yogurt bars to fulfill my craving for ice cream. When I eat high-fiber bread, it fulfills my craving for bread while helping me hit my macros.
These are a hard pass for me. They just don’t taste like cinnamon buns to me.
